The OpenID Community

OpenID and OAuth are lightweight, decentralized protocols for single sign-on and authorization that are quickly changing the Internet. Over 25,000 websites currently accept OpenID and/or OAuth with many of the worlds leading companies, including AOL, Yahoo!, MySpace, Six Apart and Google supporting the technologies. Today, there over 500 million users have been enabled so far.

These open source technologies put websites in control of how they manage their users logins while giving users the flexibility and choice of using whatever provider they want. Vidoop is passionate about these open technologies and actively participates in the development and evangelism of them. Vidoop employs an OpenID Foundation board member as well as one of the lead authors of the OAuth specification. Our close relationship with these open communities gives us a clear leg-up on the direction of these technologies and the shape of their use on the broader Internet. It’s this kind of talent, coupled with the rest of our world-class team, that sets us ahead of the competition.
